About Us

Our Story

Dave's Screen & Windows, Inc. was established by Dave & Shirley Sonnier in January of 1967 in a 20' x 20' rented building approximately 2 blocks from our present location. It began as a small screen shop that did window screens and screen repairs. Shirley answered the phone and waited on customers and Dave did all of the shop work.

After a few years, they hired their first employee, Daniel Abshire who is still with us today. The company then added storm doors to its product list, a few years later, storm windows. Over the next few years, the company built a new facility in our current location, then added a single pane replacement window line and hired a few more employees.

Then in 1986, we opened a manufacturing facility a few blocks from the present sales office where we started manufacturing our own insulating glass and several models of replacement windows, storm windows, and storm doors. Today we employ a total of approximately 20 employees which consist of window installation crews, a full-time estimator, a full-time service crew that installs storm doors, glass replacement, and screens, and numerous shop workers that manufacture the products we install.
We have experienced a long slow growth over the last 51 years and have established a solid, well known, and respected company with a reputation for having many satisfied customers. Dave and Shirley Sonnier are still very active in the company they started many years ago, and look forward to serving the community for many years to come.
